Vicki Blud is a research associate of the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of York, where she works on medieval gender and sexuality, animality, insults, and the cognitive turn. She is the author of The Unspeakable, Gender, and Sexuality in Medieval Literature (Boydell & Brewer, 2017), and her recent research focuses on the afterlives of medieval mysticism, with support from the British Academy. Special skills: former ice dancer; GIF-meister; experienced manufacturer and consumer of cinnamon buns.
